Twin Café is a fairly traded coffee from a farmer’s co-op from Sheffield’s twin city of Esteli – it is single origin, shade grown at altitude, bird friendly, hand picked and processed arabica, organically grown on a nature reserve where the farmers take pride in the sustainability of the estate using practices that respect their environment.
The coffee complies with quality standards and international, organic and fair trade certifications. Twin Café cannot register the coffee as organic in the UK as the roasting machines we use are used for non-organic coffee.
This is a good value speciality coffee with a SCA score of 86. The dark roast is full bodied, fruity, chocolatey, with hints of caramel flavour and a rich inviting aroma.
